Berlin Salsa Festival "Fiesta Elegante"
Berlin, Germany
The essence of Cuban dance, in a three-room Friedrichshain venue, from the team behind Afro Cuban Berlin.

Berlin Salsa Festival is the spring event, billed by the organisers as the essence of Cuban dance. It runs at the Napoleon Komplex in Friedrichshain, whose three floors, Mad Max, Factory and Borderland, allow several workshops at once. The 2027 line-up includes Yoyo Flow, Yusimi Moya Rodríguez, Adonis Santiago, Seo Fernández, Diana Rodríguez, Danger and Marielkis, Royma Román and Bersy Cortez, several of whom also teach at Guaguancó and Guarachando this season.
Fiesta Elegante built both their festivals around one idea: that Cuban dance should be taught with context and respect, not just as steps. Workshops are paired with theory, on the reasoning that dancing improves when you understand the music, the culture and the history behind it. The programme runs across Cuban styles, from son and Afro-Cuban roots through salsa, timba, reggaeton and fusion.
The social parties are treated as part of the learning rather than as the reward after it: a chance to dance with people from many countries and to practise in a real social setting rather than a club night.
It is aimed at dancers who value clarity and shared experience over spectacle.
