Casino is what Cubans actually call the dance the rest of the world calls Cuban salsa. The name comes from Havana's social clubs, the casinos deportivos, where it was danced in the 1950s. The vocabulary is circular and improvised, built on constant changes of hand position: dile que no, enchufla, vacílala.
