A Lo Loco Week is a camp rather than a festival: five days in July in Matera, the cave city in Basilicata, with accommodation at the venue and a programme that assumes you are there for the duration.
Salsa and rumba are the two poles of the teaching, with live music and percussion running through it. The longer format is the point. Five days allows for progression in a way a Friday-to-Sunday weekend cannot, and the organisers pitch it as intensive study as much as party.
Places are limited by the hotel rather than the dance floor, which matters if you decide late.
