A non-stop winter weekend at a Lloret resort, and home to the Spanish rueda de casino championship.
La Clave returns for a fifth edition, which is also its fifth anniversary, at the Hotel Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort in Lloret de Mar.
The centrepiece is live music: the Orquesta Tumbakin presenting a new album, with guest singer Helen Fabelo. More than forty artists are billed across salsa and bachata, and the festival runs around the clock rather than closing between sessions.
It also hosts the fourth Spanish Championship of Rueda de Casino and Casino en Pareja, which makes it a fixture for competing rueda teams as much as for social dancers. The organisers put weight on the atmosphere being mixed and family-friendly rather than aimed at one crowd, which is not something every festival of this size claims.
